The Classic series uses a 1-inch standing seam with a concealed fastener clip; the Contemporary series shifts to a 0.75-inch seam with a different clip spacing. Both are 0.032-inch aluminum, but the clips are not interchangeable. Check the underside of any lifted panel for a stamped series mark, or measure seam height with a tape measure from the flat pan to the rib crest.

We source OEM Jerith panels when the color match must be exact, particularly on roofs installed before 2018 when Jerith reformulated its Kynar 500 finish. Signs Your Jerith Roofing Is Failing

• Panel oil-canning or waviness. Aluminum expands and contracts significantly, and when Jerith panels are over-fastened or the substrate was installed without proper purlin spacing, the metal buckles between seams. In Escondido, this shows up first on south-facing slopes where thermal stress peaks.
• Fastener back-out or rust streaks. The original fasteners were likely zinc-plated steel; after 12-15 years in our low-humidity, high-salt environment (we’re 25 miles inland but Santa Ana winds carry coastal aerosol), the plating fails and the fastener loosens. • Interior stains at panel ends or penetrations. Jerith’s through-fastened trim at vents and chimneys relies on a butyl tape seal. In Escondido’s heat, butyl can flow and create a channel rather than a dam. The stain location tells us whether it’s trim, panel, or flashing.
